YAG Iridotomy

YAG Iridotomy is a specialised laser treatment used to create a small hole in the iris, the coloured part of the eye. This procedure is primarily recommended for patients with closed-angle glaucoma, also known as angle-closure glaucoma or narrow-angle glaucoma. The purpose of the YAG Iridotomy is to allow the fluid in the eye to flow from the posterior chamber to the anterior chamber, thereby relieving any pupillary block and preventing the progression of glaucoma.
